Booster Club Liaisons

Liaisons are very important persons to the effective running of the Boosters Club. It is highly recommended that every coach and academic club sponsor recruit a Boosters liaison. Liaisons will allow a two way communication between teams and clubs for support in both directions. Teams and clubs that do not have liaisons will be less likely to gain successful requests for support from the Boosters Club.

Liaison Responsibilities

  • REPORT TO THE BOOSTERS CLUB ON GENERAL TEAM OR ACADEMIC CLUB ACTIVITIES.
  • RECRUIT AND ASSIST VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TEAM OR ACADEMIC CLUB RELATED ACTIVITIES.
  • DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP WITH COACH OR CLUB SPONSOR FOR BOOSTERS ASSISTANCE IN THEIRVARIOUS EVENTS AND FUNCTIONS, AND FOR THEIR HELP WITH BOOSTERS FUNDRAISING EFFORTS.
  • PROPOSE, COORDINATE AND FOLLOW EFFORTS TO GENERATE ADDITIONAL FUNDS, IF NEEDED, FOR PARTICULAR TEAM OR CLUB.
  • KEEP THE PRESIDENT, EXECUTIVE COUNCIL AND MEMBERSHIP INFORMED OF ACTIVITIES BY BEING AT BOOSTERS MEETINGS OR HAVING A REPRESENTITIVE AT BOOSTERS MEETINGS, OR BY REPORTING TO THE BOOSTERS APPROPRIATE VICE PRESIDENT (ATHLETIC OR ACADEMIC)
  • LIAISONS MUST BE MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING OF THE BOOSTER CLUB.

The following are provided by the Boosters Club

  • BANQUET: The Boosters Club will reimburse $3.00 per attending student, coach or sponsor, to help defray costs. It is up to the liaison to report this to the Club for reimbursement.
  • PARENT NIGHT: Flowers are purchased for all parents. Liaison to report number to Club before purchasing. We deal with a certain florist and get a special price.
  • STATE FINALS: Any team or individual who qualifies for a State Finals event will receive $15.00 towards a State Finals tee shirt.

Procedure for submitting request for support to boosters club

"Request for Support" forms are available in the main office of the school.

  1. Make sure the request relates to a student extracurricular activity of Warren Mott H.S.
  2. Include as much information as possible.
  3. Athletic requests should first be given to the school Athletic Director. Academic Club requests should first be given to the school Principal.
  4. Work through your team or club liaison.
  5. Submit the request in time to reach the President of the Boosters Club not less than one week before the next Boosters general membership meeting to ensure it will make the agenda.
  6. Plan to be present (or properly represented) on the night of the meeting to present the request, answer questions and receive the Club answer.
