Comments and Suggestions
It was mentioned that not everyone is receiving the phone call reminders for Booster meetings or the emails.
Leslie Fountain purchased trash cans to be used for bottle returns during football games. Renee Lewandowski made a motion to reimburse Leslie $30.00 for the cans. Mary Guthrie seconded the motion. Motion passed. Boosters have turned in a total of $46.70 in cans so far. A suggestion was made that the trash cans should be used at volleyball and basketball games, too.
Wendy Haberski reported that in order for Boosters to be able to give money to the school, teams and clubs, we need volunteers to work the concessions. It is our main source of fundraising income, other than Texas Hold ‘em. She also wanted to thank the 4 boys who helped move the concession items from the football stadium into the building. They did a great job.
Wendy also mentioned that Prom will be on a Wednesday this year and asked Mr. Martin why. Mr. Martin said it is difficult to find a weekend in the spring that doesn’t have any school events going on. Prom is Wed. June 3. This was the only day that didn’t affect any school function. Having the dance on a weeknight also lowers the cost of the hall and ticket prices. Leadership is part of the decision making, but not the whole senior class.
Renee Lewandowski asked where pictures from Home Coming are and was told they are in the school.
Patti Dunn asked where 2009 Graduation Commencements will be. They will not be at Macomb Community College, but another venue has not yet been decided.
Ray Sroka asked about Little Caesars. Discussion is table until the next meeting.
There will be not December Booster Meeting. The next meeting will be 1-26-09.
Mary Guthrie made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Ray Sroka seconded the motion. The motion passed.
Meeting adjourned at 8:17 p.m.
