Call to Order: Nancy Krentkowski at 7:07
Mr. Mocny introduced Mr. Kiefer from Warren Consolidated Schools who spoke on the Bond and Sinking Fund proposals slated for the September 24, 2001 election. This money is slated for school improvements throughout the district.
Minutes: Minutes of May 21, 2001 meeting were distributed and reviewed. Motion to accept minutes as written were accepted, and seconded. Motion passed.
Treasurer's Report: Treasurer's reports for May, June, July and August preliminary were distributed and reviewed. Motion to accept treasurer's reports as written was accepted, seconded. Motion passed.
Executive Reports:
President - Nancy Krentkowski: : Introduced the Boosters board members.
Administration - Mr. Mocny: Things were busy over the summer renovating three science rooms, the gym and entire school was painted. Custodians did a great job. Asked everyone to take friendly cards for the bond issue.
Athletic Director - Mr. Tim Kovacs: Distributed pocket schedules of all athletic events. Reported on spring sports and how well baseball, softball, and track did.
New Business: Denise McGraw spoke about Homecoming events and the need for chairpersons and helpers for the ice cream social, decorating the gym on dance day, and help with serving of food at the dance. We allocated $1,500.00 for food and paper products for the dance. Motion to allocate this amount, seconded and motion passed. Chris Perry spoke about the fruit fundraiser and the Polaroid Road Rally. Greg Garavaglia talked about boosters responsibility for security and ticket taking at swimming, football and basketball events. He passed out a schedule for volunteer sign ups. Greg explained fall sports liaison, coaches will approach kids to ask their parent to help with the sports team needs. Request for support for girl's basketball for $250.00 to purchase gym bags. Motion to accept, seconded and motion passed. Question asked by Becky Hetchler regarding Boosters funds, what we are allocating and what we took in as income. Explained by the treasurer. Cindy and Denise talked about concessions, passed around sign up sheet for volunteers. Request for support to help send Erica Kuzmierz, captain of Warren Mott dance team, to participate in the Macys Thanksgiving Day parade. She is representing our school. Motion to give $315.00 for the airfare, seconded and motion passed.
Committee Reports: All night party, need to form a committee tonight it was decided that Becky will set up a meeting to get this committee formulated.
Nancy informed all in attendance that we are not just a sports supporter, we support all student endeavors, Math, National Honor Society, theatre night, Mott Rodders, team club banquets, Prom, etc.
Becky Hetchler informed all about our WEB site. Pictures, meeting minutes, announcements, dates of all events etc. can be put on it just let her know the information. Becky also wanted to make sure that Boosters correspondence has our WEB address (WWW.GEOCITIES.COM/WMBOOSTER) indicated. She also explained about getting information on cable.
