Minutes: Minutes of March 18, 2002 meeting were distributed and reviewed. Motion to accept minutes as written were accepted, seconded minutes accepted as written. Read thank-you correspondence from the Drama Club.
Treasurers Report: The March report and April preliminary were distributed and reviewed. We can expect more income from upcoming track meets. Nancy accepted reports as received.
Executive Reports:
VP Communications Becky Hetchler: Coming up in May - MEAP testing 5/2. An in service day 5/16. Spring concert 5/16 at 7:30 p.m. Band banquet 5/22 6:30 p.m. No school 5/27 and, Senior dinner 5/29 (WWW.GEOCITIES.COM/WMBOOSTER).
President Nancy Krentkowski: The Boosters received a check from Schwans. One of the faculty members passed away Mrs. Sierzerga we would like to make a donation in her honor we will get with Mr. Mocny on this. A motion to approve $100.00 for this was made, seconded and motion passed.
Membership: Nothing new to report.
New Business: Angela Wangler was selected to participate in a Volleyball Invitational Tournament Sport USA. The competition is in Hawaii is asking for a donation of $300.00 to help her make the trip. Motion to give $300.00 made, motion seconded. Motion passed. Sue Luetzow asking for a donation for the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. Discussion took place on this request and it was noted we have funds to give now however, this may not be something that is granted in the future. Motion to give a donation of $100.00, motion seconded and motion passed.
VP Fundraising - Chris Perry: Talked about a possible fall fundraiser Christmas ornaments that would have the Warren Mott Marauder stamped on one side and on the back could list the year, childs name and any club/sporting involvements. These could be sold during conferences. This is something that could be worked on during the summer break. The Red Wing hockey tickets were won by Barb Caudill the Boosters made $270.00. Mott Millionaire game is 4/21 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. bring your donated desserts about 12:30. Mentioned about giving a gift certificate to Norm Quagliani for all of his continued support to the Boosters. We really appreciate him! We will not be doing Closest to the Pin this year. Boosters member Mary Herzig brought in 6 golf clubs, donated items from Jimmy Smith of Focus Golf located in South Carolina. The clubs will be given to the Golf team for their use. Thanks Mary!
VP Academics Denise McGraw: Concessions coming up for two track meets on 5/17 and 5/28. Believe they both start at 3:00 p.m. is passing around sign up sheets for volunteers to help. Prom tickets are still on sale $45.00. Asking for help with concessions for next year. Need a person or persons who would be available on Monday(s) at 2:00 p.m. to come to the school to let the Coke delivery into concessions. This would be for next fall. Veramays due soon.
VP Athletics - Greg Garavaglia: Need two ticket takers for the 5/17 and the 5/28 track meets also need volunteers to work during the meets, timing etc. Spring sports so far, girls soccer doing well, girls varsity softball lost their game, varsity baseball won 2 games, boys JV baseball won 3 doing well.
Nancy mentioned officer nominations tonight VP Communications position, Steve Cranston(sp?) said he will seriously consider this position. Pat Zane - treasurer, Greg Garavaglia - VP Sports, Chris Perry - VP Fundraising, Nancy Krentkowski - President, Cindy Peters - secretary, Pam Gonzalez Membership, Denise McGraw -VP Academics. Can also make nominations next month and will be voting that night.
Committee Reports: All Night Party, on 4/23 will solidify all donations. In May decorating will be meeting on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:00p.m.
