Call to Order: Nancy Krentkowski at 7:01 Nancy welcomed everyone and extended a thank you to Chris Perry for the great job on the Christmas ornaments and the Red Wing jersey raffle at parent teacher conferences. Boosters board positions, there will be vacancies. After January Nancy will know which positions will need to be filled, please give this your consideration.
Minutes: Minutes of October 21, 2002 meeting were distributed and reviewed. Minutes accepted as written. Read thank-you correspondence.
Treasurer's Report: The October final report and November preliminary were distributed and reviewed. Nancy accepted reports as received.
VP Academics - Denise McGraw: Extended a thank you to Pat Zane for all of her help with concessions this year. Holiday dance December 13, 2002 7:30 - 10:30 pass around sign up sheet for coatroom help.
VP Athletics - Greg Garavaglia: Passing around calendar for December and January events for ticket takers. Income for fall sports security and ticket taking $2,660.00. Winter sports should be about $1,500.00.
VP Communications Steve Kranson: Continues to update the web site www.warrenmottboosters.com added more pictures from band, tennis, and bowling. Looking into getting a banner to promote the Boosters cost between $170-$200.00. Continue to forward your information to Steve to get it on the web site.
VP Fundraising - Chris Perry: Fruit sale, sold 301 boxes boosters should profit $3,000.00 from this sale. Winners in the fruit -a-thon were 1st place - Bowling club, 2nd place TECHO club, 3rd place - Varsity Dance. The Dominic Hasek jersey winner Margaret Cieslak, boosters made $597.00 from the sale of tickets. December 6th is the student staff basketball game. This is a fundraiser no passes accepted entrance fee $3.00 game begins at 7:00 PM. Reverse Raffle will be April 2, 2003 at the K of C hall on Chicago Round between Mound and Van Dyke. Will have tickets to sell soon. The ornament sale, we made $80.00 so far.
Membership - Pam Gonzalez: We have two new members. Pam did roll call, must be a boosters member to vote.
Administration: Mr. Mocny indicated 66% attendance at conferences. He had the blueprints of what Mott campus will look like with all of the renovations, and with the purchase of the annex building. He is excited about the future of Mott. The work will be starting this year and should be completed in two years. Someone asked Mr. Mocny about having concessions at the winter sports events. No problem if someone wants to do it. No pop at this, bottled water acceptable. Pool is renovated and ready to use.
New Business: Request from baseball Coach Maloney, for a double batting cage frame (tunnel). Asking for $1,500.00. Motion made to give $1,500.00, seconded and motion passed
Committee Reports: All Night Party had their first meeting Monday November 11, 2002. About 50 people attended and there are two people co-chairing this event. The theme this year is Mexican with Speedy Gonzalez everything is going well.
Varsity Cheerleaders having a bowling fundraiser December 6, 2002. Cost is $25.00 please check the Boosters web site for more information.
Inquiry made about craft show that used to be at Mott. What happened to it? From those who were around at that time, the person running it moved, also attendance and participation started to drop off. If interested in resurrecting this event, anyone is welcome to do so.
