These positions are open for board members for the 2004- 2005 school year; president, vice-president of academics, vice-president of athletics, and vice-president of communications. If there is no president in place as of August 2004, there will be no Warren Mott Boosters. Any money left in our account will revert back to the City of Warren by law. Anyone interested in filling these positions may shadow that board member for the rest of this year. Warren Mott Leadership is sponsoring Toys for Tykes from November 5th until November 19th. There will be a bin to collect new and "gently used" toys. This will be given to needy children in the Appalachian Mountains. Mr. Paul Kozek is heading this drive. They will be performing at Universal Mall for the Santa Parade on November 11. They will also be in the Warren Thanksgiving Parade on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. VP Fundraising - (CMC) Cindy Peters, Mary Herzig, Cindy Kinder: We are in desperate of buyers for the Fruit a Thon. If everyone would purchase just one box, it would be great benefit to all. This is the major fundraiser of the year. This sale is open to all teams and clubs. We need orders by November 6th. Cindy Peters asked Mr. Mocny if it would be possible for him to get a Red Wings jersey for raffle. He will look into it.

Administration - Mr. Mocny: Construction is going very well. North House should be ready by January, then West House will be next for remodeling, then the Cafeteria. The Fine Arts building looks wonderful. A state of the art sound system will soon be installed. We could possibly have a Boosters meeting in the building after the first of the year. All students are being urged to wear their id badges. This is mandatory. Parents are being asked to enforce this. It is a matter of safety for all of the students. Mott's Blue Ribbon application has been filed. We should know the result by the end of October. People are more likely to send their children to a Blue Ribbon school. This helps the surrounding community as well as property values. Academic Awards are November 25th. The Modular units are permanent. The cement in South House will be fixed by the end of October. Pop machines are on except for the lunch period. Food Services is responsible for handling beverages at lunchtime. We do have a contract with coke, which gives the school fund a profit of approximately $1500.00.

Athletic Director - Dave Noble: Mr. Noble congratulated the Tennis and Soccer teams for doing a great job. Workers will be needed for the winter sports.

New Business:

Coach Bullis requested $1200.00 for the Girls Volley Ball team. This would purchase a portable training station. It is a spike trainer that consists of a portable net that catches balls. It doesn't take up much room and would also benefit the sports conditioning classes. Some discussion took place concerning this matter. Bonnie Vettraino made a motion to grant the request; Pam Gonzales seconded it. A vote took place and the request was passed.

Steve Kranson requested that the Boosters purchase a full page ad for WCSPA for the entire school year for the Performing Arts Center at the cost of $400.00. We have had no ad from Mott since 2000. Marsha Mikula made a motion to grant the request, Sue Langer seconded the motion, a vote took place, and the request was granted.

Committee Reports - Denise McGraw: All Night Senior Party committee positions have been filled. The next meeting is November 24 at 7:00pm.
