We will be having a site visit on December 2nd by the Blue Ribbon Committee to evaluate our staff and students and observe the school as a whole. We had twice as many students pass the MEAPS than last year.

New Business -

Ms. Rachko: Ms. Rachko spoke about a pre ACT test that the 10th grade students will be taking on November 26th and December 3rd. This test will help to better evaluate the career choices and various classes that the students need to accomplish their goals. In the past this test has been held on a Saturday and included a fee. We are piloting this program along with Cousino. The district will be absorbing the costs. Hopefully this will help the students to better understand what classes they need to prepare themselves for the careers that they choose. The field trip to CPC will be held on December 11th.

Ms. Gravel (Yearbook) requested $840.00 to purchase a Panasonic DMC-Fz19SS 4 Mega pixel Lumix Digital Camera with 12Xoptical zoom, a Secure Digital 128 MB Extra Memory, Hot Shoe External Flash and Fish-eye Lens Kit. Kris Lixey and a group of students did a wonderful and well-researched presentation on the reasons that they need this equipment. Patrick Studios has been furnishing Mott with pictures of various sporting and school events. With this new technology, the students would be able to capture events as they happen and secure lasting memories for their yearbook. It would be more of a "hands on" yearbook by the students. The students were very concerned with being able to make the yearbook "their own". Denise McGraw made a motion to give the students $900.00 toward their purchase, it was seconded by Linda Rotarius, voted on and passed.

Linda Rotarius of the Health Council made a request for a $200.00 donation. Mary Herzig made a motion to grant the request it was seconded by Vickie Kondziolka, voted on and passed.

Coach Wright said that the K-Mott store had approximately 150 customers during Parent Teacher Conferences. The Store will be opened after school until 3:00 for shopping during the holiday season. He donated a fleece sweatshirt for the football banquet along with a long sleeved grey T-shirt. He will be donating both items to the Staff - Student Basketball game along with a $20.00 gift certificate. He will be looking into printing up gift certificates for parents to purchase for their students.
