Call to Order: President Nancy Krentkowski at 7:15pm.
Minutes: Minutes from the last meeting, November 17, 2003 were distributed, read and approved.
Treasure's Report - Treasurer Sue Crile: Sue distributed the final report of November and December 2003. It was reviewed and accepted.
President - Nancy Krentkowski: Nancy welcomed everyone to the new Annex. Almost all of the board positions for the 2004 - 2005 school year need to be filled. Anyone interested should come to the next Boosters Meeting.
VP Academics - Bonnie Vettriano: Bonnie thanked those who helped out at the December dance. A sign up sheet was passed around for the Snowcoming Dance, February 28th from 7:00pm - 11:00pm. Workers are needed in the coatroom and the snack table.
VP Athletics - Gregg Garavaglia: Sign up sheets were passed around for help with the winter sports. Liaisons spoke for Basketball, Volleyball and Wrestling. All teams are doing well. The Swim team is off to a rocky start. The Dance Team will have its first competition on Saturday, January 17th.
VP Communications - Steve Kranson: Steve is still looking for someone to assume his board position for the next school year. The students will be putting on the play Tommy in the Annex on January 15, 16, and 17th.
VP Fundraising - (CMC) Cindy Peters, Mary Herzig, and Cindy Kinder: Cindy Peters wanted to thank those who helped distribute the 251 cases from the fruit - a - thon, They were Gary Wolf, Bonnie Vettriano, Gregg Garavaglia, Chris Perry, Nancy Krentkowski and Sue Crile. The profit from this sale was $2528.85. The top winner were All Night Party which received $250.00, Band $150.00 and Volleyball $100.00. There will be a staff - student Volleyball game in March. Thanks once again to the Haberski and Ouvry families who donated the Red Wing raffle tickets. The profits from this raffle were $771.00. The winners were Lorraine Blevins, Kevin Siemers, and Jan and Fred Slosek.
Membership - Debbie Willard: We now have 116 members. Everyone is encouraged to join the Warren Mott Boosters. Just come to the next meeting and fill out a membership form. Everyone's thoughts and opinions are welcomed at these meetings.
Administration - Mr. Mocny: Mr. Mocny welcomed everyone to the Annex. The construction in the Annex is going very well. The sound system is now in, it will be a couple of months for all of the lighting to be done. He will be filing an appeal with the Blue Ribbon Committee. We received a 77% grade. We need a "B" to qualify. We still had the highest grade out of the other High Schools. He hopes to hear something by January 30th. Construction in the school is a little behind. There are 3 more weeks before anyone can move into North House. The new weight room should be complete by the end of March. The old weight room will become the Wrestling room. Mr. Mocny asked if the Boosters could help with the cost of a new scoreboard in the gym. It will be located in the middle of the gym and all sports can benefit from it. The total cost if $4500.00 Someone asked if we could have a scoreboard on each end. He will look into the cost of this. This scoreboard could be moved to one end if we purchase another. Cindy Peters made a motion to give Mr. Mocny $2000.00 toward the purchase of the scoreboard, Denise McGraw seconded the motion, it was voted on and approved.
Coach Maloney: Coach Maloney requested $1000.00 from the Booster toward the purchase of new equipment bags for the Baseball team. He has been fundraising all year. These new bags will last approximately 5 - 10 years. The students will turn them in at the end of the season. Vickie Kondziolka made a motion to give Coach Maloney $1000.00 for the equipment bags, Mary Herzig seconded the motion, it was voted on and approved.
Committee Reports - Denise McGraw: All Night Senior Party Committee is doing well. Junior parents are welcome to come and help. The next meeting is January 26th in the Media Center.
