Warren Mott Booster Meeting Minutes

April 18th, 2005

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:08pm.

Minutes: Secretary - Vickie Kondziolka: The minutes of March 21st were read. Julie Sroka made a motion to accept the minutes and Pam Cochran seconded the motion. The minutes stood approved. Vickie's position is open for next year.

Treasurer's Report - Sue Crile: The treasurer's report was read. There is still an outstanding allocation of $200.00 for the Health Council for the 2004 -2005 school year. Tom Egan made a motion to accept the report and Linda Rotarius seconded it. The report stood approved. Sue's position is open for next year.

VP Academics - Nancy Brown: Nancy was not present. Lynn spoke on her behalf. . The Senior Auction at the Spring Fling brought in approximately $500.00 The Prom will be held on May 27th.

VP Athletics - Garry Wolff: Garry was not present. Track is undefeated. Girl's Softball is doing well. The Quiz Bowl will be going to States this week. There will be a new Dance Coach for next year.

VP Communications - Steve Kranson: Please keep contributing to Tonerinx and the paper recycling program. Steve is looking for someone to fill his position for next year.

VP Fundraising - Mary Herzig: No new business. Nylon Booster pullovers and stadium seat pads were suggested for sale for next year. Mary's position is open for next year.

Membership - Debbie Willard: Debbie was not present.

President - Lynn DiBartolomeo: Lynn announced that Sandy Stevens volunteered to be the chairperson for the nominating committee. Several nominations were taken for various positions. Sandy would be contacting these individuals before our next meeting to see if they will officially accept their nominations. Lynn passed around sign up sheets for the upcoming track season and concessions.

Administration - Mr. Pat Adams: Mr. Adams was not present. Mr. Noble spoke on his behalf. The Mott Open House will be held on Tuesday, May 17th. Time and specific details regarding the Booster Coney Sale need to be ironed out. The Head Cook, Bev is in charge of ordering the food for approximately 400 people. She will instruct volunteers as to what is needed.

Athletic Director - David Noble: The season switch for sports will probably go into effect for the upcoming school year. Anyone who has a Mac Pass may not be able to use them at other schools. It is up to each individual school's discretion if they want to honor them. With tight school budgets, some schools are choosing not to. Schools are also starting to charge for freshmen sports.

Committee Reports - Sharon Ouvry: Senior All Night Party will be held at 7:00pm this coming Monday. All is going well with the planning.

Vera may Scholarships - Vickie Kondziolka: The Veramay Committee is in the process of reviewing the applications. Only 22 students out of 172 replied. There seems to be some problem with the Counselors helping the students and getting out crucial information to them on time. Several parents voiced their concern about this. The applications will be done by the first week of May and the winners will be notified shortly thereafter. Thank you to Debbie Walsh, Linda Lowen, Sandy Stevens, Wendy Haberski and Dianne Weekly for helping with the review. Coach Wright offered to take anyone present on a tour of the new school store which has been renamed Champs Corner. He will begin offering Varsity jackets at a comparable price for next year.

The next meeting will be held on May 17th at 7:00pm in the Cafeteria.
