Call to Order - The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM.
President: Lynn DiBartolmeo: Thanked everyone for attending. Also, thank you to Ms. Stone, Coach Northrup, Lisa Murchison, and Jon Green for attending. April meeting will be nominations for the board positions, if anyone is interested please let Lynn know. Elections are May 15, 2006.
Minutes Secretary – Sharon Ouvry: The report was read. Wendy Haberski made a motion to accept the minutes, Gail Black second, the minutes stood approved.
Treasurer’s Report – Doug Ouvry: The report was read. Tom Egan made a motion to accept the report, Debbie Walsh second, the report stood approved.
VP Academics – Nancy Brown: Spring Fling is April 7. We need about five people to sign up to work the coatroom.
VP Athletics – Garry Wolff: People are needed to work concessions March, April, and May. Helpers are needed by 2:00pm to help set up concessions. Concessions are the main fundraiser! We need help from everyone in every sport. Come help set up, watch your sport, then come back, and help clean up.
VP Communications – Martin Heitkamp: Warren Mott received the coffee maker, but we are not sure when we will receive it. Thank you Marty! He has a disc with basketball pictures; he will put them on the website.
VP fundraising - Judy Hurt: We receive $5.00 a ton for the paper recycling. If the container is full, please call Judy, she will call the company to make a pick up.
Membership – Debbie Willard: The membership count is 149.
VP Concession – Diane Portis: Concessions are going well. We will need many volunteer help for baseball, softball, and track.
Administration: Mr. Brad Martin: Was unable to attend – Mrs. Hoven had nothing to report.
Question: The trophy cases by the pool entrance are full of dust and have old information in them. When will they be updated? They just received new keys the old keys were lost, and are working on the trophy cases.
Athletic Director: David Noble: Was unable to attend.
Athletic Liaisons: Wresting had their Pot Luck Banquet, Wendy Haberski is asking for $3.00 from the boosters for each of the 29 students. Three students made Macomb All County. Keith Fournier, Bobby Kokenos, Kevin Haberski.
Bowling had their banquet; Coach Kovach received two trophies – 2006 Conference Runner Up and Macomb County 2nd Place – Congratulations! Two bowlers are going to All County. Bowling is going to have a condition clinic on June 19, 2006. $7.00 per person at Universal Lanes. Volleyball had their banquet; three students mad All County. Girl’s soccer - first game is Wednesday, March 29, 2006.
Quiz Bowl – Made it to first Division, lost in Regional. Will go to State April 21, 2006
New Business:
Coach Northrup asked for $825.00 for the girl’s softball team. This is for a new windscreen for the Varsity front field. This will prevent wind from coming in. Motion was made by Linda Rotarius for $825.00 for the windscreen, second by Debbie Walsh. All in favor, motion was passed.
Ms. Stone asked for $1,540.00 for a charter bus to take the physics classes to Cedar Point on May 18, 2006. NASA will be there and every ride will be geared to physics. There will be about 90 students going. Their cost will be $30.00. Linda Rotarious made motion for $1,540.00 for a charter bus for the physics class trip, second by Julie Sroka. All in favor, motion was passed.
Mr. Martin was not at the meeting regarding the marquee; it will be tabled for the next meeting.
Veramay Scholarship – Susan Brown – 95 seniors are eligible for the scholarship. 2.75 GPA is needed to be eligible. Susan wants to mail the application to the 95 seniors and have them return the application to the front office. It is not necessary to have the consolers involved. Motion was made by Julie Sroka to mail out the applications, second by Rose Howard, All in favor. The applications will be mailed this weekend.
Committee Reports – All Night Senior Party – Sharon Ouvry chairperson: Next meeting will be after the booster meeting tonight and the next booster meeting. We need help from all parents.
