Pat Wilks from Wireless Giant – Located 14 mile and Mound, came to the booster meeting to propose an offer to Warren Mott High School. He is offering $10.00 per new phone activation, $1.00 per accessory sold, 50% off on site accessory sales, free phone raffle at school events, $25.00 off new phone with school ID, 50% off accessories with school ID. He would like to have a table at sport events and the boosters would receive 50% of sales, also an add in the school paper. Mr. Martin will have to check to see if there is a district policy regarding this type of advertisement. We will check into this for next year.
Call to Order - The meeting was called to order at 7:09 PM.
President: Lynn DiBartolmeo: Thanked everyone for attending. Lynn had a sign up sheet for August registration and stuff envelopes, there is no date set. Mr. Oravec did receive $850.00 from the district for the Lincoln Douglas Debate Finals in Chicago. He is asking the boosters for $150.00 for gas and parking. Motion was made by Julie Sroka, second by Gail Black, all in favor to give Mr. Oravec $150.00 for Chicago.
Minutes Secretary – Sharon Ouvry: The report was read. Gail Black made a motion to accept the minutes, Debbie Walsh second, the minutes stood approved.
Treasurer’s Report – Doug Ouvry: The report was read. Susan Brown made a motion to accept the report, Tom Egan second, the report stood approved.
VP Academics – Nancy Brown: We need help at concessions for the track meets coming up, sign up calendar was passed. We made over $1,200.00 in concessions at the middle school track meets in 3 weeks.
VP Athletics – Garry Wolff: People are needed to work the baseball districts on June 3rd. We will need help at the concessions and at the gates.
VP Communications – Martin Heitkamp: Nothing to report
VP fundraising - Judy Hurt: Nothing to report
Membership – Debbie Willard: Not able to attend.
VP Concession – Diane Portis: Nothing to report.
Administration: Mr. Brad Martin: Thank you to everyone for all their help this year. There will be an internet safety program at Mott on 5/16/06. This will be a very important program for parents to attend. All “A” breakfast will be in the cafeteria on May 19. Band Spring Concert is May 23 and 25. June 8th is Honor Convocations and June 10, graduation and All Night Party. Question: any information on the spotlight for the flagpole? Mr. Martin is still checking into this.
Athletic Director: David Noble: Thank you to everyone for their help this year. Many games will have to be made up in the next 2 weeks, because of all the rain. The coach handbook has been approved; we have not received the books. Coaches will have to go to two training classes. The coaches will have to sign a sheet that they read the hand out, and will have to follow the hand out. Will the parents receive a copy of the hand out? No, but there will be a copy for us to read, or it might be posted on the web site.
Liaisons: Quiz bowl won state finals. Boys track is 2 -1-2. JV soccer is 5 wins 3 losses and 5 ties. The band went to state and the Wind Ensemble received all “1”s and symphonic received a “2.”

Chase Bank on 12 mile and Dequindre want to sponsor Warren Mott High School. They will like to make donations for the school and All Night party. Mr. Martin will check into this with the district.
Mr. Wright had the Warren Mott Store opened for Graduation Liquidation sale.
Veramay Scholarship – Susan Brown – 45 scholarships were turned in, the final reading will be done by this Friday.
Committee Reports – All Night Senior Party – Sharon Ouvry chairperson: Next meeting will be on Monday May 22, at 7:00 – this will be the last meeting and very important meeting.
A representative from the Performing Arts came to the meeting, the will be performing 42nd Street this year. They are having a banquet on 6/1/06 and are asking Warren Mott for $450.00 for the awards for the banquet. Lynn informed her we need request form filled out a week before the meeting, she will fill out a form and this will put on the agenda for the September meeting.
