Call to Order - The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM.
President: Lynn DiBartolmeo: Thanked everyone for coming.
Minutes Secretary – Sharon Ouvry: The report was read. Sue Grobbel made a motion to accept the minutes, Sandy Stevens second, the minutes stood approved.
Treasurer’s Report – Doug Ouvry: The report was read. Gail Salyers made a motion to accept the report, Kim Mutschler second, the report stood approved.
VP Academics – Nancy Brown: Next dance is in February – Snow coming – no date set
VP Athletics – Garry Wolff: Basketball and volleyball schedule are out.
VP Communications – Martin Heitkamp: Pictures are needed to update the website
VP fundraising - Judy Hurt: We are still collecting computer cartridges in the front office. And collecting paper, the bin is outside in the band parking lot.
Membership – Debbie Willard: Make sure she has your e mail address, if you have not been receiving an email regarding the booster meetings, she does not have you address. We have 176 members; you have to be a member to vote.
VP Concession – Debbie Walsh, Pam Cochrane. Thank you to everyone for their help, parents from football, girls basketball, dance team, soft ball, band, volley ball, soccer, bowling, baseball. We need help for girls volley ball and wrestling concession, please sign up. We also need volunteers for Wrestling “Take down in Motown” on December 9, 2006.
Administration: Mr. Brad Martin: Everything is going well at Warren Mott. The band will be in the Detroit Thanksgiving parade.
Athletic Director: David Noble: Unable to attend – Mr. Martin said sports are quite, between seasons.
Liaisons: Boys Lacrosse is having a bowling fundraiser January 20, 2007 at the Sterling Lanes, they need to raise $10,000.00 for all 3 schools.
Quiz bowl is in the state compotation.
Dance Team had compotation on November 4 – they came in 4th place in jazz and 6th in pom.
Girl’s varsity basketball finished 6-15 this year, they did well
New Business: Science Olympiad – Ms Stone was unable to attend – Mr. Martin requested $350.00 the team. They are building a robot that will pick up an object, travel and drop the object; these funds are needed to build the robot. Motion was made by Linda Rotarius, second by Rose Howard, all in favor. Motion passed for $350.00
Request was made to review the by-laws – Susan Howard and Martin Heitkamp will head the committee, if anyone would like to help give them a call.
Euchre party – Trying to set a date in March for a spaghetti dinner or pizza and salad euchre party.
Leadership is planning a bowling fund raiser February 9 or 16 for the cost of the prom and the class reunions.
Old Business:
Performing Arts – No show.
Take down in Motown wrestling is December 9 at Mott – no charge to come in if you have a toy. There should be 9 – 12 schools attending.
Committee Reports – All nigh Senior Party – Sharon Ouvry chairperson: Next meeting is November 27; a lot of help is needed.
