Call to Order - The meeting was called to order at 7:08 PM.
President: Lynn DiBartolmeo: Thanked everyone for coming. Next Month’s meeting will be elections.
Minutes Secretary – Sharon Ouvry: The report was read, approved by Susan Brown, second Mark Kovach, all approved.
Treasurer’s Report – Doug Ouvry: The report was read, approved by Linda Rotarious, second by Susan Brown, all approved.
VP Academics – Nancy Brown: The leadership class is planning a carnival this year, not a spring fling. They are planning a dunk tank, and picnic games, and hoping more students will attend. Prom is May 12th; tickets go on sale this week, $60.00 a ticket. There are only 400 tickets available.
VP Athletics – Garry Wolff: Thank you to everyone that sold tickets at the gate for the baseball spring classic. The booster split the income with the baseball we made $786.00.
VP Communications – Martin Heitkamp: Not able to attend.
VP fundraising - Judy Hurt: Not able to attend.
Membership – Debbie Willard: Make sure she has your e mail address, if you have not been receiving an email regarding the booster meetings, she does not have you address. We have 184 members; you have to be a member to vote.
VP Concession – Debbie Walsh, Pam Cochrane. We need help at the concession stand for baseball and track. Monday April 23, is the middle school track meet, and we will need a lot of help on that day.
Administration: Mr. Brad Martin: After the events today and Virginia Tech and Rochester school district, we will be practicing lock down drills at Warren Mott. On May 2 and 3 the National Honor Society is hosting the talent and fashion show. Music Man will be playing on April 26, 27 and 28.
Athletic Director: David Noble: Thank you to everyone that helped this year. The booster will receive a check for approximately $1,800.00. The sport seasons will change, they are working on the schedule. This will affect girl’s basketball season the most. We will host the baseball and softball districts and the Macomb Daily track this year. The hockey team will consolidate 2 teams next year Cousino and Sterling Heights – Warren Mott will be one hockey team.
New Business: Mr. Wooster requested funds for equipment for Marauder Strength. About 900 students and staff use this equipment. He is requesting $1,800.00 for the equipment. Motion was made by Linda Rotarius, second by Wendy Haberski, All approved motion passed for $1,800.00 for the equipment
Mrs. Wooster and Coach Laskowski (Coach Maloney could not make it) requested $4,500.00 for baseball and soft ball portable fence. This fence will be used between JV field and girl’s softball field. There was a permanent fence, but the grounds took it down.Julie Sroka made a motion that the booster donates $1,500.00, Soft ball and baseball donates $1,500.00 and we go to the district and ask for $1,500.00. We would like a booster member go to the board and request the $1,500.00 since the ground took down the original fence and this fence is for a safety purpose also. Second by Linda Rotarius, all in favor.
Nomination committee is Nancy Brown and Debbie Willard – Debbie Walsh is nominated for secretary,
Helen Phillips for VP Academics, Linda Rotarius for membership. VP Athletics, Garry Wolf, President Lynn DiBartolomeo Treasurer and concession and all positions are open for any one that would like to run. There will be a paper ballet at the next meeting.
Old Business: Valermay scholarship is due on Friday.
Committee Reports – All night Senior Party – Sharon Ouvry chairperson: Next meeting is Monday April 23, 2007. I am requesting the $1,000.00 check that is allocated to the ANP.
Open Comments: Band is having a garage Sale on May 19, 2007. Quiz bowl is going to States this week. Good Luck!
